The Season 11 Cup will take place on Sunday October 29th and Sunday November 5th.
The Cup will follow the now traditional groups-then-knockout format to ensure that every clan gets a reasonable number of games.

The previous cup (s10-Cup) was won by BBC (BigBastardClan) they defeated raGe in the final, third place
went jointly to HC and LE... BBC actually did 'the double' because they also managed to win the
regular league season (season10).

PlanetQuake has put up a 'Top Ten Reasons Quake 2 Rocks'.
Q2CTF came in number two but only because number one revolutionized gaming as we know it... the Railgun.
Quake 2 was one of the best Quakes, and most hardcore Q2CTF players will agree that this Quake 3 thing is just a fad.

QuakeNation has a interview with Ranger of clan nEo, a Q3 DM & CTF clan...
New European order (nEo) was founded in July 1999 back in the days of Q3test by Ranger & Blackhawk (UK) and Paranoid (NL.) Not only was nEo their first clan, but Quake 3 was also their first online FPS. Since then nEo has grown to a 16-strong
team of both new and more experienced players from the UK, Holland and Germany, and has earned a reputation as a strong TDM clan, and one of Europe's premier CTF clans.

AjE have been banned for two weeks for using a fakenick player vs duff on the
12th of October...
Violations of the rules of this sort, will not be taken lightly upon. We are currently working on a set of penalties for various offenses.

ICE won the Icelandic Skjalfti4|2000 Q3CTF Tournament by defeating HUX in the final !

This was one hell of a tournament ! - by [k]omEn
The biggest surprise this weekend imo, was when ICE took the CTF title. They recently lost few members and I think that there were only 2 out of 5 players in the original team from last skjalfti
[i] ... Clan Hux took the second place,
and fallen (I think) went third.
About...
Every year there are 4 Skjalfti tourneys held in Iceland in wich all the Icelandic clans come together and compete in Quake...
Yesterday the fourth event in the Skjalfti series has been started, Iceland's quake elite will gather on LAN and
play until Monday morning...

Division-1
DS and IF drew for 1st place in their match with FRE taking 3rd spot in a very tense 7-7-0 scoreline. HC were a no show and so were replaced with mercs, while ZOO didn't have a full team. This enabled LD50 to have a full reign on the map and that they took in both hands winning 25-1-0.
Division-2
D2 saw AFT secure their second 1st place winning 12-6-2 over TJD and UKSG respectively. GnA also got their second 1st place winning 13-7-2 over WkB and TAA who joined the game late.
Standings:
Division-1: DS, LD50, zoo, FRE, IF, hc
Division-2: aft, GnA, TJD, WkB, TAA, UKSG

I'd heard of this happening several years ago, but here's the proof that Q2 is being used to design buildings:
The idea was to let the people who were going to use the building see and comment on the arrangement of space within it, and learn how it would function.
They also modified the game a bit to remove the weaponry, so no more blasting things:
"They were doing that originally but we had to take the guns out - the head of the department didn't like that at all," Mr Richens said.
Included are some screenshots from the actual Q2 level (which unfortunately can't be seen in larger format).
