Upcoming fights

After some slow period the q2ctf ladder seems much more active now. If you look at the ladder page it's easy to see that there are 23 clans, one of which is suspended (aje) but all of the rest have (been) challenged. So with some luck we'll have 11 fights coming up in the near future. Here are the dates and maps of the already agreed fights:

As suspected CN will not play the remaining matches in the YM League II, meaning all their scores will be removed from the list....and since they are out of the league there is only one match to go...between MC and KOI. The current score is this :

Each clan can choose one map, the final map will be CTF5, no powerups unless both clans can agree on another map.

MC and KOI will play this final match on sunday... not sure yet though. I will keep you informed !!!

D2K - @ www.deadalfs.co.uk : Slowly but surely Quake 3 Classic CTF is feeling it's way into the CTF community, and not letting go of it's grasp once it has a hold of you either! Many people are dissatisified with 'vanilla' Q3CTF, feeling that it is more a case of DeathMatch with a couple of flag-poles to recognise it by. In fact, such is the bad taste left in the mouth, many people prefer to stick to Quake 2 CTF.

A good first week, only a handful of defaults and some very good games indeed. We were a bit short for admins over the 2 evenings, if anyone would like to help admin drop me an email. Don't worry if you haven't used OSP before, full instructions will be provided :). I will be linking all available demos on [www.QuakeNation.com], there are not that many due to the fact we were stretched for admins but they should hopefully increase in number for next week.

German clan pod have left the league so all clans in Division1 will have a default win at some point this season as i will not be replacing them.

All results and tables are updated.

Reigning ClanBase CUP Champions DTF knocked out by raGe in the fifth and last map...

raGe made their way to the finals against tm, after beating DTF on the last map of 5 (sumactf6: 8-2). tm and raGe will meet for the second time this cup, that war ended up in a tie and was played on 2 servers with a big difference in connection. This time the war will be played on 1 neutral server. We will keep you informed on the details as soon as we know them.

Clan *raGe* started best, and got 3 caps within 8 minutes, but then DTF-killroy got an equalizer (3-1). So I thought that it could be a good fight after all, the fight for a place in the CB finals. But again *raGe* showed their strenght by taking 4 caps more (7-1). DTF got another cap, but then it was only 3 minutes remaining. And to settle it even more, *raGe-grme* took the last cap (8-2) with just 1 second left of the game. GG to both clans. 		  raGe v DTF

Sunday saw 2 close games, one default and one total drumming. AFT were the clan to give their opponents, TJD & TAA, the drumming. DS got the default over IF & ZOO who didn't have the players. While FRE & LD50 were in a very tight battle against Hg (HC name updated asap), with FRE apparently getting a bonus cap, near the end to win it. WkB also got a bonus cap as did one of their opponents in their match against UKSG & GnA, with them comfortably taking first spot leaving UKSG & GnA to fight in out for 2nd, with only 1 cap seperating them by the end. | SavageUK Q2 3tCTF

BBC deducted 6 points

If you read the rules of the SavageUK Q2CTF league, you will find the following:

"If a clan is found to be fielding a player who is not on their members list, or within the two week tied period, that clan will be penalised by a three point deduction per incident. If the rule is broken in both 20 minute games, six points will be lost."

As BBC broke this rule last night, fielding "[BBC]MUMMY BEAR" they have thus been deducted the 6 points from last nights games, with the matches being awarded by default to HC.
