The 'sort-of-pre-season-BW-cup' tourney took place Sunday night and it turned out to have a bit of a surprise outcome.
The the tourney saw an invitation field of 8 clans playing out group games, the teams to emerge from those groups being KoTR (winners of GroupA) and nV (winners of Group B). This in itself was a bit of a surprise as IQS
defaulted their match to KoTR so they failed to qualify despite winning their other 2 matches.

Threewave CTF Unification Project

What is the ThreeWave/CCTF Unification project ?
Two mod-teams,
Threewave
(creators of the orignal Quake(1) and Quake2 CTF modifications)
and
CCTF
(creators of the Q3 Classic CTF modification)
working together in the 'CTF Unification Project to revive hardcore Quake CTF multiplayer gamers...
After Quake3Arena was released the QuakeCTF scene was basically split up in two 'camps'. Those who liked the CTF gametype
without grapple, runes and item drop possibilities as included in Quake3Arena - and those who didnt like the original Q3CTF.
The CCTF Mod-Team
created 'Classic CTF' (CCTF) which brought back the grapple, runes and item drop functions and started to work together with Threewave to create one modification which includes both gametypes, Q3CTF and ClassicCTF, and a third gametype called 'Capture Strike' (CTFS)... this one modification is know as the Threewave CTF Unification Project and is basically a sort of 'portal' from which you can vote for your favourite CTF variant and play :)

SavageUK Season 15 end

Season 15 of SavageUK Q2CTF league is finished except for...
Divisions one and two titles will be "played off" next week (Sunday 14th October) at the normal division times.
Division 2(8pm) - BBC(no map chosen yet) v YWN (Q2CTF05b)
Division 1(9pm) - aft:(Q2CTF05b) v LD50(LFCTF1)
In the event of a map draw a decider will be played, a map of the council's choosing.
Please note, promotions are not affected, it will be the titles for each division.

The SavageUK 3TCTF league resumes next week Sunday 14th October...
The map will be 3tctf11 (underworld), games start at 4pm for division 1 and 4.45pm for division 2.
