win second-league by defeating

Last thursday GD Gladiators won the Second-League final versus
iM Italian Mobsters...
GD was first to earn 5 points in the war, which took 4 maps, and thus became winner
of the second-league final and therefore second-league Champions, Congratulations GD :)
The fourth map (q2ctf1) was most exiting due to the fact that whoever won the map took the
second-league title and because it ended in a very close score (4-3) in the last 10 seconds.
In the first 10 minutes iM took a 3-0 lead despite a not so solid quad-covering from
their part but having the Amp in defense helped to stop GD's quad attacks... until the
last 5 minutes... GD finally had a good quad attack, stole the Amp, and then the score
curve went like this:
[4 mins left: iM v GD: 3-1] ... [3 mins left: iM v GD: 3-2] ... [2 mins left: iM v GD: 3-3] ...
[10 secs left: iM v GD: 3-4] ... and so a tense Final was decided in the last 10 seconds...
A good war played by both clans :)

CN took over the #1 spot from IQS on capture ratio........

Week 9 went pretty well, a couple of postponements but most of the games were played and completed and things are certainly getting very close. In nearly every division the top 2 places are seperated by just 1 point, so there is still all to play for.

Reigning champions IQS earned full points again by defeating
Savage s4 champions, and Savage s3-Cup winner, SS... points
they really need because CN (ClanBase 'Q3CTF Cup Fall 2000' champs and 2 times
Barrysworld champions) also took full points and are leading division-1 now with a better capture ratio...
IQS and CN are the only two clans who won all
of their matches so far...............
