SavageUK United Kingdom Q2 3-Team-CTF | Cup rescheduled to NEXT Sunday

Well with NGUK (netgames-uk) getting a load of brand new machines in this week (23 Dual P4s apparently :) ), they have been a little busy building and configuring them. Therefore I am sorry to say that we're going to postpone the cup from this Sunday until next Sunday (4th Feb), as the 3rd port for the cup isn't configured yet. However, here is the schedule for next week:

BarrysWorld United Kingdom Q3CTF | Games to Continue - by Bigfoot @ BWQ3L-CTF
BarrysWorld Q3 League Situation: Basically we are continuing as normally as possible, we do not have a shut off date but i assume early February. BarrysWorld`s future is unclear at best, however there has been a keen interest from numerous companies in purchasing bits or all of BarrysWorld. So whilst i expect the leagues and indeed BarrysWorld to go offline for a period of time i am hopeful that we will return in some form and would therefore ask that participating clans try to continue as normally as possible in playing their scheduled games. I would also ask that should we go offline that you are patient with us and do not desert the leagues, the admin team are fully behind the leagues and given the chance we will continue the leagues on in the future and indeed improve on them further.

I'm currently planning season-2 of the NSL Q2CTF Competition, and looking for Team-Captains/Teams, contact persons etc... :)
What we are looking for are reliable Captains/Teams... Teams that play and continue the season until the end and don't embarrasse their country by not showing up or drop out the competition before the season ends :) Woohooooo 		NSL

ChampionsLeague Q2CTF [ www.championsleague.org ]
Clan |tm| challenged BBQ again in an attempt to conquer the first ladder spot...
The previous two 'clashes' between both clans in the current ladder-season were both won by BBQ...
Will |tm| be victorious this time ? Have they developed a new tactic to defeat them at last ?
Or will BBQ show their power again ?... We know soon... the match will be played on maps q2ctf2 & q2ctf1 on Monday January 29th... |tm|fuel: "we just have to be able to play our game, that's all :)"

On the savage|q2ctf page you can find the Divisions for Season 13 of the Savage Q2 CTF league.
As usual clans that ended Season 12 in relegation spots have been relegated, and clans that won promotion have been promoted. Other clans have been promoted as required to fill the spaces left by clans that did not re-register.

It was for the first time KOI faced Modem and because Modem defeated SuX earlier it promissed to be an intresting war...

'Both clans had a heavy defenz. The only way to score caps was to fly-in-and-out before the defenders had an chance to blast you to kingdom come'.

Q3CCTF CUP part-2 | postponed - by Andy @ SavageUK.com
Unfortunately we experienced router problems in the CCTF Cup...

It is the same problem which caused part of the Q3CTF Cup to be put back and the same problem which gave us a headache in week 1 of the CCTF cup.

I must stress that the problem is not with Netgames-UK or with SavageUK, but with a cable and wireless router/hub.

Every effort is being made to get the problem fixed.

We will try to continue the CCTF Cup next week with the same fixtures and times.

DdB beat AGC in a close match - by kotti @ ChampionsLeague

First was CTF2, AGC's choise at TnX. DdB had better luck with techs but the match was really even. Both teams got caps and the round ended with a long cross-steal where eventually both fc's were killed at the same time. The result was 4-4.

Then to DdB's server and CTF3 where AGC chose to be red. DdB has luck with the techs again and the match was pretty even the first 10 minutes. After that DdB started to cap more and AGC made a few quad attacks. This didn't help though and DdB won this round 7-2 and the whole match 11-6. GG!

Due to financial difficulties BarrysWorld is to close on the 31st January. | [pressrelease-118] | [pressrelease-117]

What does this mean for the leagues? Well, barring miracles, the leagues will disappear when BW is turned off at the end of this month. I am looking into other possible options, such as finding an alternative host for the leagues, but its very hard to see how the BarrysWorld Leagues could continue with no BarrysWorld let alone the legal issues which would prevent this.

I would like to thank all participants for their playing in the leagues since their official start in February 2000. I hope you have enjoyed your time playing in the leagues, and wish you all the best for the future. I would also like to thank all the admins who have helped to make this possible, there are too many to name here but i am sure you will agree that without the dedication and professionalism of our admins the leagues would never have become as popular as they have.

Oke ladies, we have a special planned all about clanbase. I always knew clanbase was there, but I never took the time to really look into it. Recently I ended up at their site and the first thing I saw was a NQ CTF ladder with my own clan KOI as number one... this was good :) Sensor of the SuX clan suggested we use clanbase again and actually i think it is a great idea.

Currently we have already the following clans registered on clanbase as NQ CTF clans :

Active clans: KOI, Brutal, BAR, QF1
New clans: AM (UK team), FK (dutch team), MC (YM-League-II Champs), SuX

I noticed some movements on the Quake(1) front lately... It seems that Quake1, especially QuakeWorld, is becoming more and more populair... I play QW myself regulary and whenever I join the server there are always players playing...

Izn0: I`ll be doing a QuakeWorld 1on1 competition for Scandinavia in February with prize money and I`m looking into getting reload over here to play exhibition match vs whoever wins it
