Q2CTF Benelux Cup - Winter 2000
DTF v TQA: 37-7 - (/)
This was the battle for third place in the ClanBase Benelux Q2CTF-Winter-Cup 2000. DTF won so they win the bronze-cup :) The final match of the Q2CTF Winter-Cup (Rage v Au) is scheduled for friday.

Q3CTF Dutch Ladder
SuX v TFB: 41-3 - (ctf4/ctf2)

Q3CTF International Ladder
AIE v RoFL: 9-3 - (ctf3/wctf1) - [ AIE Belgium - RoFL Austria ]
AIE was a very fair victim, after some problems in the beginning (servers etc...) we decided to play on Clanbase servers. AIE arrived only with 4 players so we accepted a 4 vs 4 and started to play ... in the beginning we made a cute rush and made the 1:0 after 2 mins, but then everything went wrong :) AIE got us back in the defense and we hard big troubles with attacking finally we lost 5:1 :/ In the second round we changed the server in the hope that the lag is better there but it proved wrong ... Schlepphoden had big troubles in the beginning and got disconnected ... so a fast 2:0 for AIE happend :( after some minutes we managed to make 2 caps (2:3) but AIE finnaly was just to strong (or we had to much lag:) and won the second round in 2:4 gg AIE :) - [RoFL]Editiver -

A very nice game against RoFL. Although it was agreed for a 5-5, only 4 of us were available. But they were very fair and played a 4-4 (even though they had worse lag than us as well...) Chello: give them 16K/s upload or something, otherwise they won't have a good lag!! ,-) Anyway, the first map was Q3CTF3. They started off very well with an early cap. But we took control of the invisibility and were able to make it 1-1. It took a while before we made some more captures, but we were able to take their base and capture their lag a couple of times in a row... Result: 5-1 in favor of AIE. Second map: Q3WCTF1. Usually a very tight map with not much caps. Both teams concentrated on the powerups so the midfield was not a place to rest o-) We both made some caps, but our team managed to make a difference. Final score: 4-2 in favor of AIE. Thanks RoFL, very cool game!!! - [AIE]Cyclops -

Au v TFB: 36-0 - (wctf1/ctf2)

Q3CTF International Ladder
PhD v VD: 16-2 - (wctf2/ctf3) - [ PhD Iceland - VD United Kingdom ]
Good game from both sides. Unfortunately VD chose our 2 favorite maps and we have practised them like hell so we were more organised and won both games. Good Game VD - [PhD]Twister -

New Q2CTF League The Justice League (UK)

Some snippets:
- The league will run from 9pm on Wednesday nights...
- We will be using standard maps and custom maps...
- There won't be any LPB restrictions of any kind...
- Teamsize is 6 players...

The Justice Department tried to get this off the ground last year, but a lack of available servers meant that it didn't happen. However, that nice Uncle Slave has said we may have use of the Savage Q2 match servers for a mid- week league, and so we're starting again.

BCTFL Looks To Start New Season - by Caitiri @ www.gamepig.com
As the second season of the BCTFL comes to a close, the next season is only a few weeks away. They hope to start up season 3 before the end of April; the competition will be stiffer, the prizes bigger, and with some slight modifications of the rules (taking out the dreaded "matches tied on caps are decided by frags" rule and replacing it with overtime) this will be the best season yet. The BCTFL also will be promoting more of their matches on QTV, with a little bit of gamepig help :) If your clan is interested in signing up for the next season, be sure to visit their webpage, or stop by #bctfl on irc.enterthegame.com.

Teamplay.net Q3CTF - MLA Advances In CTF Showdown - by Caitiri @ www.gamepig.com
MLA became the third team to advance to the Teamplay.net CTF Showdown by defeating Havoc in 2 maps. The first map (Courtyard Conundrum) saw MLA cap twice quickly in the opening minutes of the match. Havoc followed with 2 caps later in the game, amidst heavy MLA defense, then managed to get a 3rd. ranger1 from MLA timed out about this time in the match so the match was paused until he could re-enter; once it restarted Havoc got yet another cap, putting them up 4-2. With less than two minutes remaining, MLA went on an offensive spree; they capped twice before time ran out (Bugzer got the final cap with 10 seconds to spare).

Under teamplay rules, a tie is ruled a tie...
so whoever would win the next map would win the match......

The map again was Courtyard Conundrum, and both teams managed a cap fairly early in the game. It stayed tied 1-1 for a few minutes, until MLA went heavy offense and succeeded in 4 more caps before time ran out; the final score was 5-1 MLA. Most of the players for MLA tonight were from the Deathmatch clan stickmen, one of the 4 clans in the QIL3 finals. They will face the winner of Clan Prediction vs Reactive in the Eastern division finals. Congratulations MLA!
