The Justice Department tried to get this off the ground last year, but a lack of available servers meant that it didn't happen. However, that nice Uncle Slave has said we may have use of the Savage Q2 match servers for a mid- week league, and so we're starting again.

The original intention was that this would be a league that you could get into by invitation only. However, we have a very specific time of week that we aim to play in, so instead of asking our preferred clans, finding that some can't make it, and repeating the process until we have enough, we're asking for clans to apply for a place in this mini-league.

Day/Time: the league will run from 9pm on Wednesday nights. You WILL be expected to play ONE 30 minute game each week. SavageUK has 4 CTF ports we should be able to use, so all games will start at or around 9pm. You MAY be expected to play TWO 30 minute games, depending on the format of the league (home/away maps, red/blue colour)

Numbers: We want ONE "division" of 8 clans. This means we want to find seven clans to play apart from TJD.

Aims: Mid-week CTF fun. The emphasis on fun. We will try to select a range of clans that will ensure that the fun element is present. We want clans that we know will view it in the spirit its intended, and also not take it too seriously.

Maps: We will be using standard maps and custom maps. As long as we can get the maps onto the UKCCL boxes, we will try out maps not in the Savage set, and also "novelty" maps if they appear to offer potential for a laugh. We may play "home" maps, and we may play each map twice in a season (i.e. long 14 week season). The alternative to a long season would be to play two 30 minute games a night, one at 9pm and one at 10pm.

Other items: We may experiment with other non-Savage settings; off-hand grapple, non-instant powerups (e.g. carry your quads and use them when you want), no techs, low gravity etc. Settings may vary from week to week.

What it's not: This mini-league is NOT a practice for Savage's Sunday game. We will make sure that the map we play is different from the map Savage Q2CTF is using on the following Sunday.

Admins: Apart from possibly myself starting off each game, we will trust clans to play their own games in good faith without an admin present. Scores will have to be submitted. You should take a screenshot and keep it safe for evidence in the event of a dispute over scores.

LPBs: There won't be any LPB restrictions of any kind. We hope to have clans that will play the game in good spirits, and we don't propose to restrict the choice of those that can play.

Future: If this league is successful it may expand into a mid-week Savage Q2 CTF league.

- can you field 6 players each Weds at or around 9pm? (this should be YES!)

- can you field 6 players each Weds at or around 10pm? (this can be No)

- are you interested in the following (yes/no for each)?: off hand grapple keyser grapple tech non-instant powerups no techs random spawns custom maps "novelty maps" - e.g. CTF Rail Arena Sudden Death overtime in the event of a caps draw Rocket Arena overtime in the event of a caps draw fewer players per team (how many?) more players per team (how many?) (you must be able to field that manyplayers on the night of course...)

(NOTE: all non Savage setting changes are dependent on my being able to re-set them using RCON/map restart and/or LFire commands, and also set them back at the end of the night).
