There will be a wide range of maps like brand new custom maps and remakes of classic CTF maps of ages gone by.
Runes (techs)
Auto-Doc, Power-Amp, Resist, Haste.
New Items
Grapple, Green Armor, Super Nailgun (from Q1)
Misc
New HUD, Dropping of weapons/runes/flag, Q3 powerups Regeneration and Haste disabled (there are techs or runes now).

Modelling Contest

Q3 Modelling Contest

Trillian from QGirlz, with support from www.polycount.com, launched a contest to create a new female model for Quake 3.

The inspiration for this contest came months ago when I looked around and realized how difficult it was to find a good female model that looked good and was well proportioned.

Female gamers were contacted and asked one basic question, "What would you like to see in a female model ?". While some asked for a more realistic model showcasing a solid and muscular body... others asked for a bit of fantasy in a female model with a perfect shape... and some wondered why make it human... :)
