Battle for first place between OSS and |tm|

OSS v |tm| : 7-5 - (q2ctf1, McKinley Revival)

We just lost OGL #1 spot to OSS. Played ctf1 5-7.
Sadly, match started off with a huge delay. OSS guys couldnt seem to get their computers workin. The match finally started. First 18 minutes we owned all quads. The standings were 3-1 to us. As we lost 1 quad OSS made a really nice quadattack. We lost all techs and OSS started to cap. We managed to get control again the last 4 minutes as we got 1 tech back, but then it was too late. The score at that point were 3-7. We got 2 caps, score ending 5-7.
Never fun to loose. We didn't play good. End of story. Well done OSS.

Play-offs... Second semi-final: AoS v NuT5

Tonight AoS and NuT5 battle out the second semi-final for a place in the final agains clan E...
Clan E was the first clan that qualified for the final, E defeated Cx (3-0 in maps) in the first semi-final (May 31).

[clanbase]Talita: NuT5 have reason to fear AoS: in the DM Cup AoS won easily from NuT5 with 3 maps to 0.

The cup draw will be on Saturday night at 7pm in #savageacademy, we still have a few places left if you are in the The Academy, or divs 4 and 5. We are gearing up for the weekend. The action is here this Sunday, if you haven't applied, now is the time. Applications close at midnight on Friday 10th June.

The Cup Takes place on the 11th June from 5pm.
Please make sure you have version 1 of JUDCTF1 which can be found here

We currently have 12 clans entered into the competition, so there are only 4 places left.
If your clan is in the Academy or Div 4 or 5 of the league, please email Admin-eRaD to enter.

We will be meeting in channel #savageacademy.

Hey ho, as some of you might have noticed: The CLL is not up yet. The reason: Pacifer is missing. The site is to a large extent complete, there are some elements missing, but it is set to launch. However, we have yet to track down Pacifer, since he is the only one who can redirect the DNS to the new webhost...

Update: I received word that Pacifer is on vacation, doh, and he will not return for another two weeks, DOH! [cls]Ve, apparently, also found it suitable to take a vacation, so he is off to Bali to sip piņa-coladas for two weeks. So, I guess we're back in idle-mode. Expect the site to pop-up soon after their return.

Q3 CCTF Mod ClassicCTF - "The Smelter" Remake: Poll...

We are thinking of adding The Smelter (q2ctf3) to the list of remakes. We need some help though, and we need your input on what kind of remake it would be... Note: the Symmetric Version will have only 1 ps... unlike the Quake 2 Symmetric Version...

If there were to be a 'Smelter' remake, which version would you want it to be ?

OGL Q3CTF Peacemakers Re-take #1... - by Twitch @ www.gamepig.com

In a pitched battle, The Peacemakers took back the #1 spot on the OGL Q3CTF ladder, defeating Elite Strike by a score of 7-5.

The teams played on the IKM server, where the pings were high for both sides, but evenly matched. Pm chose q2wctf2, Courtyard Conundrum, and jumped to an early lead. With Pm up 3-2 about halfway through, es-vynn made an offensive run that would have tied the game, but was killed just feet from his own flag. Pm then took off with the es flag and capped, never looking back from the 4-2 lead. es sustained a furious attack over the last few minutes, and brought the game down to a 6-5 margine, before ]Pm[Lazarus escaped with the es flag. He capped in the final second, sealing the win.

We have a QTV demo which is available here . As always, though, it contains about 10 minutes of warmup, so be sure to know which key is set to Fast Forward. Peacemaker demos can be found on their site , and we'll try to get some es point-of-view demos by tomorrow morning.


]Pm[merton: Woot! We finally got back #1 on the ogl ladder tonight. We played an intense 30 minutes against es and they put on the pressure like you wouldn't fuckin believe, 3 man attacks and all that shit, very nasty but FUN! :) The score was very close, the last minute was just fuggin nuts..i have a very bad headache so go grab some demos as I cannot type no more. great game es!
