SavageUK Q2CTF this Sunday... Week 6 - by [savage]Slave

This sunday sees the replay of week6 in the q2ctf League. Times will be as show in the fixtures list for week6 except .. for Div5.

As stated at the time, games will be replayed as per the 'server crash' rule for Game2 of Div5, the only difference will be that game2 starts on the half hour at 5.30pm.

Week 7 will then be played the following week. Full times for the Div5 games (ie length of game) will be up as soon as I get home tonight. On a side note, if both sides agree that they want to play the first game again then the servers will be free from 5pm. If one Clan disagrees then the result from the 1st game will stand.

Since many clans/people have been in touch with us admins, not wanting the Q2CTF scene to end, we have decided to give it one more shot. We have found a webhost suitable for our needs and also been given a hand by [cls]Ve, who will be doing a great deal of the programming.

We are right now working on some sort of playoffs for the league, those of you who have been with us from the beginning will probably remember the CL, and those of you who haven't or don't click here Such a "playoff-league" is basically what were planning.

Furthermore, if there is sufficient interest, we are also thinking about relaunching the CLL. Restarting the whole ladder, so to speak. Right now we have four or five teams waiting to be signed up, apart from the 39 teams already "active".

Since the release of the Q3 CCTF Beta 0.99, and the seemingly high popularity of it, we are in the process of planning such a league as well.

Finally, if things go as planned we will probably need someone to help me with some of the news reporting for the Q2CTF CL/CLL, for starters. Good command in the use of english is required, and you have to be familiar with the clans competing. If you're interested send a mail to fuel@championsleague.org telling me about yourself.

Finally, part 2. I would like to emphasize the word "planning". Nothing is yet written in stone, but we will be doing our best.

It was a rough night for canine in CTF, as they lost a pair of close matches. The first was against synaptic for the Q3CTFL, round one. The teams battled to a 2-2 tie on q3wctf2, before synaptic managed a capture to win in overtime. The second map, ctf1, also ended in a tie. Before the overtime began, however, canine elected not to finish the match, giving synaptic a forfeit win.

The next opponent was eXtreme Domination, for the Bannockburn CTF Tourney. Once again, the teams tied on captures the first map (ctf2), and xD took match on frags. For the second map, ctf1, canine established a 2-0 lead about halfway through, before xD put on a furious attack and capped three times in the final few minutes, escaping with a 3-2 win.
